Love Burn Art Grant Proposal

What you write here will be reviewed and possibly posted on the fundraising webpage. It is subject to edit or removal, and thus will be how the community will decide whether or not to donate to your project. Make sure it is accurate and thorough!

We will review your submissions before posting to make sure it is up to standards, but the rest is up to you. Your budgets will be public! Please make them as clean and specific as possible!

Your budget should be made share-able through Google Drive or emailed to our team leader.

**Money to pay for a rental space to create the project that you are already currently renting may not be included. Transportation costs from the build site to event site may be included.**

Ownership of projects or parts of projects funded partially or in full by Love Burn is dealt with on an individual case basis.

2020 Art Proposals & Placement

Bringing art to The Love Burn and want to be considered for grants, placement or some physical help to set up or break down your art? THIS IS FOR 2020.
  • What is the proposed title of your art project?
  • Your legal name and your group name
  • Email address that works best for you
  • Phone calls will only be made on an as needed basis - we will primarily communicate with you through email.
  • Describe your vision. WHAT do you want to do? How will you accomplish it? WHY do you want to do it? Please provide a SHORT synopsis AND a DETAILED description.
  • How many people are on your art build team?
  • Are you affiliated with a Theme Camp? If yes, which one?
  • Every project has the potential to leave a trace. How will you avoid or account for that?
  • How will this project involve and impact the community in its planning, creation, realization, and beyond?
  • Describe your timeline for creating this project. Be specific; we need to know that this project is fully thought out and feasible!
  • Do you think your project will need insurance or building permits? Are you prepared to get insurance and necessary permits if required?
  • In order to be approved, please provide a budget outline here or a link to a spreadsheet that details both your MINIMUM and MAXIMUM budget. Sometimes, we can provide funds, fuel, propane, shipping help, manpower, or nothing. Talk to us.
  • Please provide at least ONE photo of your project. It can be something that represents the project, a logo, a sketch, or a photo of a prototype.

  • What is the approximate length, width and height in feet measurements of your project. (Ex: 10ft x 8 ft x 10 ft tall) How much additional square footage do you need surrounding your project for placement?
  • Will your art project be showing at another event in or near South Florida around The Love Burn? (Example: Art Basel)
  • If you are requesting Grant Money, how much are you looking for from The Love Burn community?
  • If your product is mostly finished or being built elsewhere, where would you be shipping it in from? (City, State or Country) How do you normally transport it?
  • Please attach a budget outline here or attach a spreadsheet that details both your MINIMUM and MAXIMUM budget. An improper budget plan consumes our limited volunteer time and puts you at risk of not qualifying for placement, so please do it right! If you do not have this ready, please email it to art@theloveburn.com including the name of your project. Projects without budget may not be considered.

  • What is your website, Facebook or fundraising web page?
  • If your art project has any kind of fire effects, or uses fuel in any way (for art cars and ships or any such thing) you absolutely must fill out this portion of the form. In it should be a list of the safety equipment you plan to bring (or need funding for) and a detailed safety plan. Your art, your responsibility!
  • Is there anything else you want to say about your project? (Here's a good place to make a call-out for participation with the work or link to further info).
