TITLE: workshop

Date/Time: Afernoon

Workshop Description

Authentic Relating - Get Beyond Small Talk & Connect

We use the practices of Authentic Relating to facilitate a safe space where presence, empathy, deep connection and intimacy arise organically. This creates a nourishing, often transformative experience which allows for progressively deeper insight, understanding, exploration and expansion in ourselves, our relationships and lives in general. If you are ready to go beyond quick-fix self-help approaches and superficial law-of-attraction type spirituality and instead dive into the rawness, aliveness and richness of fully experiencing what arises in the present moment when we come together with presence and the intention to drop our masks and show ourselves fully…

Through the use of interactive partner and group exercises we create a space for you to practice relating authentically and bring your real self to the forefront. We’ll discover what we experience and share our insights, often gaining greater understanding in this focused feedback, dropping into how we identify with each other's vulnerabilities. Then taking this richness, available in all our relationships, out into our lives as we practice staying present and with our truth while feeling, hearing and connecting with others in deep moments of opportunity.

Students should bring:

All are welcome... alone, with a partner, a parent, or friends... simply bring the desire to connect with others at a deeper level.

TITLE: Love: Consensual v Unwanted - will discuss sexual harassment. Legal ramifications. Workplace v Social

Date/Time: TBD

Workshop Description

Sexual harassment is very big on the news. Many allegations. Many denials. Truth, untruth, his version v. her version. The law is clear that sexual harassment must be severe, pervasive, and affect the terms and conditions of employment. The law requires that you tell the harasser to stop, that the contact is unwanted. If it continues, then you must report it. Reporting sexual harassment (or any discrimination) requires YOU to report it. If you are the victim and do not report it, chances are no one will ever do anything to help you. If you report and it stops, then the employer has a defense. If you report it and it continues, then there is a violation of the law.
